This paper presents a novel approach to studying modern privacy issues. While there have been many surveys conducted over the last several years about online privacy, we present the first comprehensive study of how privacy knowledge and privacy opinions interact with each other. Our work provides significant insight into how consumers respond to the data practices of the government and the private sector.
